Friday evening we met some friends for happy hour at Twisted Fish then headed to the winery for another paint night. \u00a0Scott and I walked as usual. \u00a0However, this was our first time walking downtown from our new place. \u00a0Let\u2019s just say that we may have \u201cslightly \u201c underestimated how much farther we are from downtown than we used to be (1.7 miles instead of 4 blocks). \u00a0It\u2019s not a bad walk at all but we now know that we have to allow more time to get to places.<\/p>\n
This time at the winery instead of painting a canvas, we painted patriotic wine glasses for the 4th of July. \u00a0As always, we had a bunch of fun and we were the last ones to leave for the night! \u00a0Funny thing, only 1 of the people doing the painting was not from our group!<\/p>\n
After the winery, we walked across the street to FunLand to play in the arcade for a little while. \u00a0If you\u2019re not careful \u00a0you could spend a lot of money and time in that place! \u00a0You have to load your money onto a little arcade debit card and swipe it at each machine which makes it easier than carrying around a bunch of coins, but also a little harder to know how much you have left. \u00a0And, the tickets you win get digitally loaded in to your card so you don\u2019t have to keep up with carrying a bunch of tickets around or worry about putting them through the counting machine. \u00a0Kinda cool but it sort of takes away the excitement of a machine spitting out a whole bunch of tickets. \u00a0It was fun nonetheless.<\/p>\n
