Be Berry Berry Careful!!

So, we were walking along the promenade and we noticed that there were tons of berries!  Blackberries and “blueberries” galore. I ate a few blackberries and told Scott to eat some of the “blueberries”.  Amazed by how many there were, I sent my dad a picture via text to show him.  When he saw the picture he asked me what they were and I replied “blueberries”.  He responded with those aren’t blueberries!   Bahhahahah.  Scott became a little worried that I may have just poisoned him.  We spent the rest of our walk back trying to research berries to find out if indeed they were bad.  We finally found that they were salal berries and safe to eat!  It is a berry native to the Pacific Northwest.  Here are pictures of the plants and some of the blackberries that we harvested.
