Anniversary Beach Bonfire

Friday, Scott and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary.  We had a nice quiet dinner at a Mexican restaurant that is not terrible and then we checked off one of my “must do’s” while we are here.  We had a fire on the beach!  We took a couple bottles of wine, chairs that our neighbors let us borrow, music, popcorn, and stuff for a fire and headed to the beach.  Turns out, building a fire on the beach can be a bit challenging but we managed.  It wasn’t the clearest of nights but it was the perfect temperature for a fire!

Earlier in the week we went the the first night of the Seaside Farmers Market.  We went kind of late and a lot of the vendors were already out of stuff.  We pass this chair almost every day and I’ve always wanted to stop and get up in it.  On our walk back from the farmers market we finally did!

On a side note, we have passed this pole countless times on our walks, and Scott only this week realized it was a “gum pole”.  So gross…

We also had this little guy visit us this week.  I wasn’t able to get his pic before he jumped down, but he was propped up on the door peeking in.

Everyone here talks about the elk and how they are always in the road and in the way.  I very badly want to see them close like that.  I often drive through the neighborhoods where they are frequently seen and they are always off in the distance for me.  Not fair.
