Visiting Family and Friends

We started our family and friends visits with a stop at Virginia Tech to see our niece Emmalyn. The drive was very pretty with everything so green and the red buds in bloom. It was nice to see her and her family. She took us on a quick tour of the campus. Virginia Tech is a beautiful campus. Only wish that it was a nicer day. Sadly, I did not get any pics of us.

We left Virginia Tech to head to Jonesborough, Tennessee to visit overnight with Scott’s brother and his family (minus Emmalyn). We very much enjoyed our visit. We hadn’t seen our nephew Robert in over 4 years. We also got to meet their newest 4 legged family member, Athena.

Sunday, we said goodbye to our TN family and headed to NC. Our first stop was in Hayesville to see our friend Eileen. Until 2018, we had visited her place at least once every year since 2009. We didn’t make it in 2018 due to our travels so it was nice to be back. We had amazing weather.

We got up on Monday and went to Murphy to spend the day with Scott’s parents. We had such a nice visit for lunch and dinner. Again, I failed on taking people pictures. I did get some pictures of her beautiful flowers.

Tuesday, we spent the day visiting with Eileen. We helped her do a few spring chores around the lake house and then enjoyed a nice dinner at a local brewery.

Wednesday, we got up and made our way to Rockingham to see my parents and some more friends.
