See Ya Later Alligator

Sunday morning I went down to the pool to enjoy some sun before our evening plans. When I got down there, someone yelled down to me from their balcony that there was an alligator in the pool! Not going to lie, I kinda got excited. It was a cute little baby alligator (about 2 1/2 feet) so I didn’t think he would bother me while I layed out. But, figuring that more people would be coming down to the pool wanting to swim, I called the police department to find out who to call to get the gator. A policeman showed up, snapped some pictures and called animal control. While we waited for animal control to get there, the pool guy showed up. He did not see our little friend until he got ready to reach in to test the water. An alligator in the pool was a first for him. When the animal control lady showed up, she wasn’t exactly sure how she was going to get the gator out. She reached in with a net and like a bolt of lightening, the alligator dove to the bottom and swam to a corner in the deep end of the pool. Finally, after directing him to the shallow end, Scott and the animal control lady were able to scoop him into a net. They wrapped him in a blanket to carry him out. When they got outside the pool fence, he started to escape, so we wheeled over a trash can and the got him in there and used it to transport him back to the pond that they think he came from. So much excitement for the morning!

Sunday evening we met some coworkers for dinner then we headed to a bar in Wilmington to see a couple other coworkers perform with their band. We had such a good time. Glad they invited us.

After enjoying the band for a while, we went to a place called the Pour Taproom. You get to sample and drink different types of beers, ciders, and wines. You choose how much of each you have.

Today, we went to the beach but we didn’t stay long because it was sooo hot. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and it was nice.
