365 Days with Mackworth

One year ago I responded to a Facebook post made by a friend I made while working in Maine. She knew people who had a dog that needed a new family and when I saw the post, I knew we had to have him. We met with the family and they called a few days later and said they chose us to take Mackworth. We drove to them that weekend to pick him up.

It has been an amazing year. We love him so much. We take him pretty much everywhere we go (within reason). He goes to festivals, parades, ghost walks, waterfront walks, kickball games, Lowe’s, on bike rides and golf cart rides, vacations, and bars. He is always so well behaved and just happy to be with us. He loves his stuffed animals (a collection that is continually growing). He brings one to us when we get home, when he finishes his meals, when he goes to the vet, when I look at his ears, and anytime he gets excited. I think his favorite thing to do is cuddle and nap. He loves to snuggle on me and fall asleep. He also loves to sleep on pillows whether on the couch, bed, or backseat of the car.

I can’t tell you how happy we have been to have him in our family. We are just smitten. Here’s to our next year of snuggles and adventures with Mack.

Warning: cute picture overload

He gets up in my spot as soon as I leave for work in the morning
Right in the middle and on the pillows is where he thinks he needs to be.
Sometimes, he thinks he has to sit/lay ON us.
He gets along very well with Lucy when we dog sit. (as long as he can be the one right next to me)
so very handsome and photogenic
When there isn’t a pillow, a stuffed animal will suffice.
Sometimes one animal just isn’t enough
My napping buddy
He LOVES a pup cup!
Tinley wanted to walk Mack. He did so good and walked slow without pulling her.
Scott brought him to pick me up from work one day
We took him to the local pet supply store and treated him to a pizza cookie for his 1yr gotcha day.
