This weekend we held our 1st annual adult field day party at Nicole and Kim’s house. When i arrived, i saw a sign that said Happy Birthday. I told Scott, ”I don’t know whose birthday it is.” Turns out, my sneaky friends had also planned for this to be the 40th birthday party for me and the 50th birthday party for our friend Bobbie. The weather ended up being perfect for a pool day/field day. We put names in a hat to draw for the teams. Bobbie and I were captains since we were the birthday girls. Once the names were drawn, it was time for the games to begin. The events were: 1. Marble toes – we had to take turns picking up marbles out of a pool with just our feet. 2. Fruit roll up – we had to take turns eating an entire fruit roll up with no hands. 3. Bucket pass – we had to line up and pass water over our heads to the person behind us and so on until the end and fill a bucket to a line. 4. Water balloon volleyball – our teams had to split and 2 people with a towel would send a water balloon over the net to 2 more people with a towel to catch them. The team with the most caught balloons won. Then we had a 4 event relay which included 1. m&m suck and blow – we had to pick up an m&m with a straw and transfer it to another plate. 2. Pencil toss – we had to put 4 pencils on the back of our hand, toss them up, and catch them all at once. 3. Puzzle mix – we had 3 puzzles with all the pieces mixed and we had to put them together. 4. Watermelon eating contest – we had a wedge of watermelon and each team member had to eat one. The last event of the day was Slip and Slide flip cup. We had to line up, go down the slip and slide, run to the table, take our drink and flip the cup before sending the next person down the slide. Sadly, my team did not win but we had a blast all the same. People may be sore today, but at least there were no injuries during the party. Enjoy these pictures…
