Introducing…Anna & Moose

So….this weekend we added to our family. We drove to WV to pick them up. 13 hrs and 755miles later, we were home with our new pups. I fell in love with a puppy I found online and after talking to them, they told me about a 4yr old they had and were considering rehoming. I was already in love with the puppy I saw but I felt I needed to take the 4yr old, so I was torn. After talking about it with Scott, he said “why don’t we get both?”. I spoke with the owner and she agreed to let us take both. So, we loaded up on Saturday and headed to WV to meet our new “kids”. Anna laid down in the backseat and slept most of the way back. I held Moose in my lap and he alternated between sleep and chewing on a toy. Since my parents’ house was on the way back, we stopped for potty breaks and stretching for a bit. After a quick visit, we made the last leg of the trip home.

We made it home about midnight. We let the pups run around a little and attempted to go to bed. Anna slept in a bed next to ours and we put Moose in a crate. Let’s just say, only about 2hrs of sleep was had by anyone that night. Moose cried and barked ALLLLL night. Sunday was a bit of a blur. Everyone was exhausted. We had a couple of visitors wanting to meet the pups. Sunday evening we tried Moose in the crate again and again he barked and cried. Knowing that neither one of us function well without sleep (especially multiple nights in a row) we decided to put Moose in the bed to see how he did. He slept the ENTIRE night! A new routine was formed. Haha

We took them both to the vet for evaluations and Anna weighs 94.5lbs and Moose weighs 21.5 lbs. Anna is the sweetest girl. She just wants to be loved by everyone! She’s nosey and super affectionate. She loves a tennis ball and finds Moose annoying. She has claimed Scott as hers and vice versa.

Moose is a typical puppy but oh so cute. He’s a cuddle bug most of the time but has a sassy side to him. He loves to pull ALL of the toys out of the bin until there are none left and then he drags the bin, ha ha.

We are in for quite the transition but I’m so in love with these 2 pups and can’t wait to see them grow!
