Headed West

After a fantastic week visiting some of Carolynn’s family in Channahon, IL, we headed West on Monday, March 19th.  We decided to drive most of the day the first time, and stopped in Lexington, Nebraska.  We also got to witness our first road rage incident.  It was caught by our dash cam.  Video to follow once we get to Seaside.

Leaving Illinois and crossing the Mississippi River:

Welcome to Iowa!

Not much to see in Iowa.  Very nice trip with no issues.  Once we got in to Nebraska, that changed.

We were greeted by the Union Pacific railroad:

After this, we got in to storms and thankfully just rain.  When we got to Lexington, there were several inches of snow on the ground, but the Interstate was clear.

Tuesday will have us head to Laramie, Wyoming.
