We hiked part of the trail up to Saddle Mountain after work today.  We did not hike the entire trail because we did not want to feel rushed to finish before we ran out of daylight and because we were hungry (that was probably the bigger reason).  The entire trail rises about 1600 feet in elevation so it’s a pretty steep trail.  We were able to see some really good views even without making it to the top.

On the way back down we saw a side trail and decided to take it.  It was called Humbug View Point.  The sign said it was only .2 miles, how bad could it be.  It started out pretty easy then there was part of the trail that was less than 2 feet wide.  After that the trail seemed to go straight up.  The views were pretty good.

Just thought this was a cool tree stump on our way out.

We will go back and hike to the top of Saddle Mountain before we leave.
