Welcome to Canada

We ventured north today to cross the Canadian border. The border patrolman was shocked that our license plate was from TN. He was also surprised to hear that we were just crossing to say we had been to Canada and to get lunch.

Our first stop was to get some Canadian money so we could eat lunch. It was plastic!

We found a little local diner for lunch. The food was typical diner food. Scott had to ask what the coin denominations were from our change so we knew what to leave for tip. He was bright red when he came back from the register! Hahhaha. After lunch we headed to a park and walked around a small lake. Of course it started to rain as soon as we started walking. We saw lots of ducks, birds, geese, and even bald eagles.

Canadian geese, in Canada…. who knew!

After our walk we headed back to the border to head home. When we got to the border this time, the border patrolman was also surprised that we would come to Canada just for lunch. Lol

Once back in the US we stopped at a small dairy to try the milkshakes they had advertised. They were candy cane milkshakes and they were delicious!

Sadly, they did not stamp our passports. Lol. Oh well… Now I can say I have been outside of the United States.
