Christmas in Canada

Today, Scott and I decided to spend the day hiking and sightseeing. We headed to Vancouver, BC to see a few places. This time Scott drove so I didn’t have to try to drive in km/hr instead of mph. Haha.

This was a cool bridge that we crossed and the only mountains that we were able to get a peek of. It was supposed to be a nice partly cloudy day but ended up being all cloudy.

Our first stop was Lynn Canyon Park to walk along a suspension bridge and hike some trails. The park was way more crowded than we thought it would be since it was Christmas and a Tuesday.

This picture was in the bathroom at the park. Haha

Obviously, this is a pretty dangerous place and there are some not so bright people that come here.

Some more pictures from our hike through the park.

This leaf reminded us of the Canadian maple leaf.

Our next stop was Stanley Park. It is a very neat park in Western Vancouver. It has a walking trail along a seawall, lots of trails, a lighthouse, totem poles, and much more. We didn’t explore it all but here are a few pictures of what we did see.

We then drove through downtown Vancouver. There were some pretty cool buildings.

This is an art gallery.

I liked the looks of this building so I took a picture. It wasn’t until we drove past it that I saw it was Trump Tower.

The McDonalds in Canada have the little maple leaf on the Golden Arches.

As we made it back to the border, we stopped at the Peace Arch Park to get some pictures. This is the Peace Arch

I had seen pictures of this park online and was excited to see the floral flags on the ground. This is the picture I saw online.

This is what we saw! Needles to say, we had quite the laugh when we saw this.

All in all it was a good day. Just wish we had more daylight so that we could have spent a little longer at the park.

See ya later Canada.
