Blame It On The Rain

The theme for weekend was rain, rain, and more rain! Our rain gauge registered 8.01 inches of rain on Friday, although the national weather service said Southport had 9 inches. Either way, it was a lot of rain and felt like a monsoon during my morning bike ride to work. Thankful for my rain gear. The rain did stop just long enough for a nice sunset.

The forecast for the next 5 days or so also consist of rain. Since outdoor activities were out of the question for the weekend, I decided to tackle painting a couple of rooms.

First was the laundry room. Changed it from the beige color to a color called Lazy Days. We also switched out the light bulbs for new LED bulbs. Very bright now!

Next up was the bedroom upstairs. It was also beige. I changed it to a gray/blue called drizzling mist, which was appropriate for the weekend.

On more project we decided to tackle was tinting the front door with a heat blocking tint. It was a little trickier than we thought it would be. It is up but it is not perfect. We will be redoing it at some point. If it works on the door we will use it in the bedroom upstairs.

As of this post (Monday) we have had 12.30 inches of rain since Friday. I might need a boat instead of my bike to get back and forth to work. Here is a picture from this evening.
