Another day, another airplane… or two

So, it was a rainy Saturday in the PNW, and we decided to find something to do inside.  I wanted to go to another airplane museum, and Carolynn was down with that, so we headed south in to Seattle.

The museum is at Boeing Field, and has aircraft of all ages.  Plus it is right on the airfield, so you get to see a lot of aircraft coming and going.  Very exciting.

We got to board a Concorde.  How exciting!

Boeing 787 engine and huge cockpit.

The original 747, named after the city of Everett.  The interior was never finished as it has always been a test bed.  It was so interesting to see the cables that work the flying surfaces.

Some of the other planes on display.

Carolynn in the SR-71 cockpit.

Brand new KC-46 tankers that have not been delivered to the Air Force yet.  The first 8 of the series are set to be delivered this year, and I guess here are 4 of them.

Danger zone!
